Rock On for Climate Action as young people step up

Sam Fletcher Band

Five years after we were devastated by the Black Summer bushfires, climate action is more urgent than ever.

Young local musician Sam Fletcher has joined with young people and climate action group 350 Eurobodalla to organise Rock On for Climate Action.

Satin Cali will headline Rock On next Saturday 15 February from 5pm at Smokey Dan’s in Tomakin.

Satin Cali are one of Australia’s premier beach grunge rock bands, hailing from Wollongong.

Polaroid, a band of students from Carol College, will be performing live and there will be three high school students telling us how they are stepping up.

Djinama Yilaga is the Four Winds Koori Choir who will sing in the Yuin language Dhurga.

The Sam Fletcher Band, Archie and Rod Slockee will also be rocking Smoky Dan’s.

Rock On focuses on creating a sense of hope and agency for climate action, community connection and inspiration for our next generation of young activists.

Get your free tickets from Humanitix. Donations will go to funding future Rock On events and the campaigns of climate action group 350 Eurobodalla.

350 Eurobodalla, SHASA, Friends of the Forest Mogo, Knitting Nannas, CANsign, Nature Coast Marine Group, and Eurobodalla Shire Council will be there for young people to find ways to get involved.

Free entry has been made possible by funding received from Monash Sustainable Development Institute Fire to Flourish Eurobodalla Community Team and Eurobodalla Shire Council.
