Minister for Police and Counter-terrorism Yasmin Catley visits Moruya

Police Minister Catley Visit

The Minister for Police and Counter-terrorism Yasmin Catley met with local community stakeholders for a productive roundtable discussion on improving community safety in Moruya on Wednesday. 

Dr Holland said “We spoke about the importance of prevention, partnerships, collaboration, and communication — all critical in addressing the challenges facing our region. Thank you to all who contributed their insights. By working together, we can create safer, stronger communities.”

Minister Catley announced that Moruya Police would be given an extra Police vehicle. There was also concern expressed about a local ice ring operating  in town, and the Chamber of Commerce will work towards getting CCTV cameras operating in various  town locations. 

 

Those present included NSW Police, Council, Dept of Communities of Justice, PCYC, Moruya Chamber of Commerce, Mogo Chamber, Dr Michael Holland MP and Pioneer Road Neighbourhood Watch.
