CWA Moruya elects a new Committee
CWA Shop and Tea Rooms at 64 Queen Street are now back open.
At the February meeting the Executive committee resigned, so the Branch went into recess. At a meeting on 6th March there was an election and new committee was formed.
New President Dinah Lightfoot said “Recently the Moruya Branch of the Country Women’s Association has been revitalized with an influx of new members. The enthusiasm of the now 80 members has allowed the branch to continue to operate. Thank you everyone.
We will move forward together in kindness.”
Kay Anderson from the Monaro group will be a mentor for 12 months if any guidance is needed.
The new office bearers are: Dinah Lightfoot-President, Sarah Stage – Secretary, Lisa Berry -Minute Secretary, and Alison Stage – Treasurer. The next AGM is in October.
Moruya CWA Shop is again open on Thursdays from 9.30 to 2 pm and on Saturdays from 9 am to 1pm.
Moruya CWA Tea Rooms will be open from Thursday 14th March 9.30-2 pm (no orders after 1.30)
CWA Moruya Branch meets every 1st Wednesday of the month at 9.30 am.
Moruya CWA is the biggest branch in far south coast group with around 80 members.
