Moruya Surf Life Saving Club has successfully completed the Gotcha4Life 24 hour row.

Gotcha4Life is a not-for-profit foundation dedicated to building a mentally fit future. We develop and deliver preventative mental fitness campaigns, workshops, programs and resources in schools, sports clubs, workplaces and communities Australia-wide.

Over the weekend, the Gotcha4Life 24 Hour Row filled clubs, schools and gyms across the country with energy, love and dedication.

A live stream from around the clubs was played on the big screen through the night.

The Club had 31 rowers over 24 hours with at least two ergs going, sometimes up to 6 at a time.

At an average of 5.5km per 30 min per rower, we’ve rowed the equivalent to Sydney and back over 600km (or 3 x George Bass Surf Marathon races which we can count in.)

What an achievement!

The Club reported “We wouldn’t have been able to do this without our amazing Surf Club Members from patrolling Clubbies, cadets, Boaties, Nippers, Call Out Team Members, Committee Members, community members, family and friends; many jumping in for a few sessions on the rower or on tools setting up or on the BBQ. Thank you legends. We appreciate all of you.”

“A huge special thank you also to our Vice President and Junior Activities Coordinator Kimberli speaking here for all your hard work behind the scenes in organising this event raising at this stage over $5500. Truly incredible for our little club to make such a difference. Our Surf Club has shown that with support anything and everything is possible! “

The Top 5 Fundraisers: were Kimberli – $870, Nathan – $700, Allison – $460, Leon – $440 and Luke – $420.
