Advanced Fungi Photography Workshops with Fungi Feastival

The Fungi Feastival is delighted to announce two Fungi Photography workshops by @timfromtasmania (Tim Grimsey) to be held at Mystery Bay (21-22 June 2025) and Club Sapphire, Merimbula (28-29 June 2025).These workshops are designed for experienced photographers to develop the advanced in-camera and post-processing skills needed to achieve the best possible mushroom images.
With a fascination for what can be found on the forest floor, Tim loves venturing out with his camera to capture the world of mushrooms. Over the years, he has experimented with different shooting and editing techniques, working towards mastering the perfect fungi photos. Hours of tripod budging, composition trial-and-error and focus stacking frustrations and successes have taught him how to approach the macro world with confidence.
Through his photography, Tim enjoys sharing his interest for the macro mushie world with other forest lovers, building an enthusiastic online community. The excitement of finding fungi, capturing them with sharp images and then sharing them with others, is a great joy and a continual learning journey.
The workshops will include two in-class sessions with hands-on skill development and two field trips to photograph South Coast fungi. These photos will then be used for the post processing elements of the course. The workshops also coincide with numerous other Fungi Feastival activities to allow participants to extend their fungi encounters.
